My Walk is Not Your Walk

I was listening to the radio this afternoon and the host was saying something about people being happy in their skin. Naturally I assumed she was discussing body types but she wasn't. The comment was about people being happy with themselves...period. Happy with self beyond body type; happy with where you "are" in life and where you're going; happy with you, based on you and solely you.
The basic message was to be happy with your own personal accomplishments, plans, goals etc. STOP comparing the proximity of where you are in this game of life to one of your sisters, brothers, friends, cousins or just the one chick you work with. Be happy with your walk because my walk is not your walk just as your walk is not mine.
Life would be boring if everyone had the same walk. Maybe some walks are through the path of paradise while others are less peaceful. Maybe some people are blessed with abilities and others are not. Maybe some people are blessed with monetary wealth and others are not. Maybe some people are blessed with killer bodies and others are not. Maybe some people are built for certain situations and others are not.
Regardless of the "Maybe" you are a "For Sure". While it's natural to wonder 'Maybe...just maybe', you must recognize and be thankful for what you have, had or plan to have. You can't compare someone's financial status, life, situation, plans, accomplishments, or relationships to yours because you can't walk their walk. People get so tied up in trying to walk somebody else's walk because they are not happy in their skin. This can often lead to resentment, jealousy or as P-Diddy say "Bitchassness".
So just "Do You"! Be happy with you; accept what you don't have, appreciate what you do and "GO HARD" to get what you want (without toe stepping). Ashanti says 'declare yourself'! Be proud of yourself, love you for you and declare to be the best you can be for "YOU".
Declare "Yourself"...Be Easy!
